Can a security guard ID themselves as a Police Officer? - security gate locks
Is it legal to identify a security guard in a shop outside the local store and as a policeman? This man was in civilian clothes and try to access a locked door, tracking a suspect in his shop. He showed a fake badge to find. I called 911 and police arrived. No report! This seems highly illegal and immoral. Can you tell the police if they do not? California.

if he really said "no. but remember that many police officers as part-time job security, and if so, it's always a cop. He has the right and the power of a policeman called at any time.
